I'm 28 and have lived on my own since graduating college 6 years ago. I have a younger brother living out of state in college and two parents who live in another city across the state.

While I have been on my own for the last 6 years, my father has developed a problem with alcohol. A month ago, he totalled his car in a suspected DWI accident and after combining this with a number of other accidents, his insurance has decided to drop him.

He left me a message this morning asking if we could talk about setting up auto insurance for him and my brother at my address. I get the feeling he is doing this as a work around for not being able to get auto insurance right now so he can drive my brothers car around while he works through the legal process. What am I opening myself up to? Am I enabling him? Should I say no I'm not okay with it?
