I think I finally found the source of the underground pipe that connects to our barn, and just in time for winter! This is inside the concrete well cover about 100 ft from the house, just inside the pasture. It was stuffed with bags of insulation so I never saw the valve in there! The valve that I believe leads to the barn is at the bottom and is in the closed position. When I opened it water came spraying out the side, so it's obviously cracked. Is it possible to replace this without having to cut the PVC? I've done work like this before (repaired plumbing around the well) but had more PVC to work with. My father suggested cutting the valve itself in half but it still leaves a problem if connecting the new one.Should I repace this whole setup coming from the well and maybe add a well shutoff here too? Also, any tips on materials for replacement? Brass or switch to plastic shutoffs?Thanks!http://ift.tt/2zXZ06W, this runs to garage where the pressure tank and switch are. Guessing this is a submersible pump (plate here says 125 ft deep well). Only shutoff between well and house is in the garage. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2gSsE8E
