Here is a portfolio that I have been pondering based on the desire for aggressive high risk style of investing balanced with other attributes that are independent than the rest of the stock market (and hopefully a bit more bear resistant). The idea for this came about after looking at typical financial advisor proposals for my age range (30s) and deciding I want something totally different than the norm. Majority of the ETFs would be via Vanguard. Any feedback on this would be welcome.
Here is the ETF based portfolio that I have in mind:
-
US stocks, small cap growth - 7.5%
-
US stocks, extended markets - 7.5%
-
Foreign stocks, small cap excluding US - 7.5%
-
Foreign stocks, emerging markets - 7.5%
-
US bonds, corporate-long term - 15 %
-
Foreign bonds, emerging markets gov. bonds - 15%
-
US REIT - 7.5%
-
Foreign REIT - 7.5%
-
Sector 1, Information Technology - 7.5%
-
Sector 2, Health Services - 7.5%
-
Sector 3, Utilities - 7.5%
-
Sector 4, Gold - 2.5%
