Currently I reside as a "C" level executive in a very large family-office/holding conglomerate in my country. My employers are very well known in my country and powerful. As I started working with them I got in love with my job and was growing accordingly, but suddenly I recognized that I'm hugely underpaid relative to my colleagues who just carry much less of company tasks and bring less benefit. Long story short, as soon as I expressed my disappointment, somehow my employers got to know about it. They also know I have possibility to move to another country quite easily, so they asked me for a meeting related to this issue. Their point was that they believed everything is fine, as I was not complaining and may be the situation grew out of lack of some kind of communication and comprehension. Our chairman asked me to express my vision and desire of my growth for coming 5 years as well as list what I don't like and see if they can cover these points. They seem to be very negative to the idea of my departure and especially of my moving out of country. But I clearly never thought about coming 5 years. I'm not a guy with a plan - I just to do my best every minute and follow the flow (in good meaning). Guys, I clearly don't know what format to use when composing this letter. What you can advice me to include there? Also, would like to mention that I feel comfortable working with these guys and my colleagues and if there is way out would definitely prefer to stay at this company (I'm pretty loyal, yeah). Moving out of country is some kind of dire option for me, cause it may create some difficulties in my family life and brings uncertainty to the future of my kids, and I'm responsible for my family right now. Please help, and thanks in advance.
