I recently bought a house and a few months after closing I started getting letters in the mail strongly suggesting that I am required to respond for information about additional life insurance. They use words like "urgent" and "time sensitive" and look vaguely like legal documents. One of them had the name of my lender on it to make it look like it was something the bank required. It is not a scam but is highly deceptive. You are in no way required to respond or buy what they are selling. The first time I got one it freaked me out a little until I did some research so I thought I would share.
