I discovered that the semi-white kitchen countertop at home is very slightly inclined. It houses a cooking hob and the sink. Photos are at http://ift.tt/2yUaI4s a result, water that accidentally splashes out from the sink (right) very slowly flows towards the cooking hob, leaves a dirty trail on top and seeps into the shelving/oven down through the foam that the hob is resting upon. The second photo in the same link shows this.Is there a creative way to solve this? The entire countertop is smooth, and I would not want to put a vertical barrier or an obstruction. Neither do I want to rip the entire thing apart to add a 1º incline.I have a very thin layer of white foam on top, but they didn't play well together. Over time, the foam tore apart in portions and black grime settled on the countertop. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2ic3cYx
