One it isn't official and two they are sitting on a huge cash pile. Why would a company like google report this in a quarterly report? Also, let's say for example wall mart has 500 million damage in hurricane damage. They have a huge stock pile of cash. Isn't that what the cash is used for? Like, why would they put this in quarterly reports and not just pay it in cash. I'm just kinda confused about cash reserves. Any input would be appreciated
