Hi there - Im hoping to make a custom mold I can will with water and place in a freezer. Ultimately I would like the mould to take the shape of a styrofoam mannequin head.I have done a few little practice pieces, both with plaster of paris and alginate. Both have been generally unsuccessful (but if there are solutions to these that I have overlooked, I would love to be guided in the right direction!) Making and freezing mould with plaster was fine, but I could not get the ice out. The alginate stuck to the ice and even shrunk by about 50%.Are there any other household mold making techniques I can try? Id love to be able to make my ice mannequin head, and get the ice out in one piece - even better if Im able to reuse the mold.Any help is appreciated, thanks guys via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2yfTOcE
