I will be moving into a rental home that has a furnished basement. The basement is great, but has horrendous flooring - huge white tile flooring throughout. We are planning to use the space as a lounge/play area, so we are researching various temporary flooring (with the appearance of wood flooring) options to warm up the ambiance - something that can be placed on top of the tile without damaging it. Because it's a rental, we're reviewing only the cheapest options.I was initially thinking contact paper since it's cheap, but the grout between the tiles is pretty thin, so all the squares would be visible. After more research, I was thinking of floating vinyl wood floors. If I were to do this, would I need to place something between the vinyl and the tiles?Any suggestions and help would be highly appreciated! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2wKodBZ
