I just moved into a new apartment. My roommate was here before I moved in and has an internet account through Optimum. We're paying $65/mo which includes a modem rental fee and very slow internet.
I found a deal on their site for $40/mo for faster internet. I also have a modem so won't have to pay the rental fee.
Does anyone know how to do this? I believe I have to be the one to sign up for the new account to get the deal, but how does it work with cancelling the old one? Do we have to cancel the old one first? Or can we cancel same day the technician comes out to install the new account?
I just don't want to order the new one and have the tech come out and find out we already had an account and say we can't get the deal or something.
