So I just wanted to write a quick post about Side Jobs and they are something that everyone should always have. When you are young you can cut grass after school or do some yard work for a neighbor. Those jobs can grow bigger and you can actually earn money off them.
Some jobs that are random but you can find is if you keep your eyes open for a decent vehicle that you can get really cheap and flip. Maybe the interior is trashed and takes you a full weekend to detail .. maybe you even drive it for a few weeks but you end up making a couple thousand on it in the end.
Some people Garden and then sell what they have extra at a local public market area that anyone can go to sell their stuff. If you learn the demand you might try selling something no one else does and make some decent money.
You can even do things like taxes at night or on the weekend during tax time. Which is like a temporary real job.
Whatever it is it is secondary income that helps you live but its not something that you are extremely tied to like your normal job.
It could be a hobby like flipping cars.. it could be just helping a neighbor or it could be a test situation to let you quit your main job and work for yourself.
The main point is your primary job is not all that you have. If you were to lose your primary job and you are cutting 5 lawns on the weekend then you could pickup 20 more for the rest of the week and you have a good chance to keep up with your bills.
So as you go through your life you will probably have many jobs and you should also have many side jobs.
Learn different ways to make money whether its just to supplement your income to pay off some debts or as an emergency backup in case times get tough.
As a bonus if you ever have to relocate you will have some skills to get some money coming in while you search for a real job.
