I'm an X-ray tech working second shift for a large hospital in the northeast. I put in for a promotion to be a lead tech but I would essentially get no raise. As of right now I get shift differential, which is a 10% increase of my base pay because I work second shift.
My company has a very structured promotion/raise policy. If I get this position I would only be offered a max 10% increase of my base pay rate. Since this is a first shift position I would lose my shift differential and won't actually see a change in my paycheck. One of my coworkers said the department makes up for this by increasing your yearly raise, but that hasn't been confirmed.
How do I bring the pay issue up in my interview? This is a panel interview with my manager and 2 other lead.
