I'm painting yellow oak cabinets white. I've cleaned with TSP and sanded with 120 grit but I have two questions:Should the shine of the finish be gone entirely once I've sanded the first time around? I'm using 120 on a quarter-sheet palm sander that isn't the greatest. I've gone over it pretty extensively but in the right light I can still see spots that are a touch shinier than the rest.I'm applying two coats of oil-based primer before two coats of paint.
