I'm looking for some sort of leather folio like thing for holding paper and documents up to letter and A4 size. Actually, slightly larger. And if needed much larger sizes like brochures should be able to stick out.
My use case: I typically just have one or two notebooks or pads, of varying sizes (A4, A5, B4, B5, small pads, whatever), a pen case, and then some papers to bring. I need something that I can put papers in, like a folder, but it looks closer to a folio. This paper folio thing needs to work for both executive level business meetings and somewhat more casual environments.
- It needs to be fairly thin and lightweight. I can't emphasize thinness enough.
- Should be black or reasonably dark colored. Leather, although nice, is not required. Just needs to look professional.
- It shouldn't have extraneous items like rings or small pockets.
What won't work (and have run across in my search results):
- The traditional leather pad folio. Bulky, looks awkward and old fashioned, and definitely out of place, perhaps even in formal business meetings.
- Notebook holders with spare storage for papers. Too bulky, and I don't want a notebook cover. I carry my notebooks separately. I just want something to hold my papers in.
- A bag.
- Some complex filing system or similar.
- Anything in colors not appropriate for formal meetings.
It just needs to be like a thin notebook cover, except I just shove loose papers in between.
Anything out there like that? I'm having trouble finding something like this.
(Budget: While I can spend > $100 if really required, I hope it's not that expensive?)
