I have used GE , and whirlpool front loading washers for the past 10 years (both digital ). They seem to have a problem with black mold growth even when I use bleach, leave the door open, and follow instructions from the manufacturer to prevent mold. I have a chronic debilitating disease and having moldy clothes and mold in the home is making me sicker. I need to look for a good, perhaps old fashioned, top loading washing machines as I hear these are better for preventing mold growth. Can someone suggests a washer that has worked for them without being a mold magnet.
