Does living a buy it for life lifestyle also lead to a more minimalistic lifestyle with less clutter and stress? I realize the point of BIFL is to have something last a long time instead of buying multiples of that thing, which leads to economical and environmental benefits, but do you find you own fewer things now? Without feeling like something is missing?

I found that when I started really researching the things I was buying I ended up putting a lot of thought into weather it was something I really needed or if it's more just an impulse buy because I thought I needed it or just wanted it. I found I stopped making those impulse purchases that ended up in a closet never being used.

It seems like BIFL has helped me organize and consolidate a lot of things that didn't have much meaning and made me more proud of the 1 or 2 things that replaced the several items that was there before.

How's it changed for you? Or did you see the same benefit or not?
