I know this question has been asked on here before, but I figured I'd ask and see if there was any updated advice.
I work as a vocal instructor and I spend 9-10 hrs a day, 6 days a week, sitting at a piano on a bench. My colleague who has been doing this for about ten years longer than I now needs a hip replacement because he's fucked himself so badly from years of sitting without any back support.
I don't want a hip replacement. What is the best chair for this type of long-term use? Obviously the less expensive the better, but if it's going to save me spending $15k on surgery in ten years years, I'm cool with going in on an investment piece. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated (even if it's a recommendation for another subreddit that might have good ideas)!
