Hello r/investing r/personalfinance and r/stocks ! I will be posting this in all three of these subs for maximum knowledge gain!

Hi there, I am a 17 year old from the pacific north west and just got my first official job, whoop whoop! Am making more money then I need, since my current living expenses are gas and tuition for my local public college. So I want to start saving and investing! My current plan was to rent some books from the library and invest about 20% of my income after I got an emergency fund set aside. The books I got have been targeted towards people who already have debt and are trying to get out of it, after reading I found out this is not me, even though there was some valuable knowledge. What books would you guys recommend someone who knows almost nothing about money or investing read? Also what should I be investing in? How do I go about starting investing? I know you can pay other people to handle that for you, is that worth it or recommended?

TL;DR Throw all the knowledge and advice at me you wish the 17 year old you would’ve known.
