Here's the deal /r/Frugal. Im traveling to the US soon and if I purchase dollars in my country I pay a 0,4% tax on it. If I use my credit card abroad I pay 6,4% tax on every transaction. I was thinking about traveling with dollars legally purchased here and loading a pre-paid card there. Is there any tax/fee Im ignoring? Is it as widely accepted as a regular credit card? Sorry if this is the wrong sub for this.
