So I have been keeping a average power bill at my place the past few months that's about 120 to 150 dollars I just got my bill and it is more than double that almost triple I have not installed any new crazy bulbs or done anything to my knowledge that could cause this I was at work when I saw the Bill and have been thinking about my water recently it hasn't been as pressured and doesn't seem to be lasting as long the hot water that is but I took it as a result on the maintenance that was being done on my complex everyday the water was being shut off and I was instructed to patiently wait until it was back on this happened for like a whole week straight so I thought it might have something to do with that never did I go and actually look at the water heater but today when I got home after receiving the high power bill I noticed that there is water inside the meter meaning there's a leak right. I know it's not uncommon for a faulty water heater to cause a high power bill after reading about it on the internet but what am I supposed to do about it I'm about to report the faulty water heater to my complex but am I forced to pay for the electricity that their faulty water heater caused or is there a proper way to approach my property manager about this please let me know greatly appreciate it I posted it on here because I feel like I saw a post about this once on here but it ended with him actually having kilowatt adjustments in the charges or rates or something I don't know but I know it ended in nothing being wrong with his place so if there's any tips or anything you guys could throw my way for the power company which is Duke Energy or my complex Association let me know
