This was the best spot i could think to post this, so hopefully my wife and I can find some help here.
We recently found out we are pregnant(!!) and are concerned about our situation with her company and moving/her possibly taking a new position.
Basically our concern is this: Based on my research, Texas isn't required to offer any kind of Maternity leave, but her company is protected by FMLA. We are in the market shopping for a home and what we can afford is about an hour away from her current job. She works for a small start up biomedical company that provides some benefits but they leave them unclear.
If she were to apply for a new job that may be closer or even give her better benefits/pay, what would our situation look like with the upcoming baby?
