I've tried to research this, but I've run into conflicting accounts I can just do it, that I should prepare the surface, etc. The paint I'm using is expensive, so I want to make sure it will work.I removed wallpaper from my walls. They were damaged. I taped the cracks and added some compound where the drywall had been stripped down to paper backing. Then, I did two coats of Kilz oil based primer directly on the damaged walls, and I did a skim coat. I had more of the primer left, so I just did a coat of it on top of the skim coat. The coat of primer feels soft and I can indent it with a little bit under pressure from a fingernail. I'm not sure if that is normal.I bought a gallon of Benjamin Moore Bath & Spa, which is entirely acrylic latex. It has a matte finish. From what I understand, it also has some primer in it. I did research on oil-based primer and latex paint before I bought the paint and thought it would be okay, but now I'm not so sure. Should I prep the walls first? Will it be okay if I just put it on?Thanks in advance for any comments. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2yc8M4e
