I am a USA citizen who has lived abroad for about 17 years. While I have a USA bank account and SSN I left the USA during childhood and have never applied for loans etc.
As a result of the Equifax debacle I learned I could freeze my credit which seems like it would save me a lot of trouble if I were to be compromised.
That said, when I went to create an account with Tansunion I was advised by their website that I need to enter my USA address to verify my ID, which I of course do not have. I did try inserting my former USA address but was not successful.
I was wondering if anyone else had encountered this and what the process is to be able to do the freeze when living abroad?
