Where I live I have access to both Amazon Fresh and Instacart -- Fresh is a rip off, so looking at Instacart instead
What I've noticed so far :
-
Access to two stores, Meijer and Kroger(this is Michigan, metro area)
-
$4.89 per lb of chicken breast at Meijer, Kroger is worse offering only organic chicken breasts for what looks like $5-6 a pound
Pretty much, is this very high price of chicken breast the result of some kind of mark up system that Instacart does?
These can't be in store prices can they?
Asking because this morning shopped at Walmart and got chicken breast for around 2.50 a lb
Or does this match in store prices?
Either way, it looks like food delivery service really is not frugal because of the over-charging that either the stores or Instacart is doing.
Am I wrong on this, or are there any /r/Frugal users who actually do like food delivery services like Instacart?
