For background sakes 3 Canadian Cell phon3 service providers run a monopoly here in Canada.
Long story short I ported my number from public mobile where I paid $45/mth for 1gig data, nationwide talk and text, Voice-mail and caller ID. One of the best plans and prices in Canada believe it or not..
I smashed my phone screen a few weeks ago and was in the market for a new one. I just ended up winning the cellular lottery.
Ported over to koodo with a special rate plan offer - 5 gigs data, nationwide talk and text, caller ID and Voice-mail for $50/mth!!!! Unheard of in Canada these days.
As a bonus I got a brand new Samsung A5 for $120 upfront, and a $200 best buy gift certificate!
My other option was a refurbished s6 for 300 or any other unlocked phone and just stay with public mobile on my plan which I hit data limit 20days in.
Pretty pumped right now, 2 year term or buy phone out in 1 month for $240
