So last year during hurricane Matthew I did an expedient version of hurricane shutters. The landlord had metal shutters but no way to hang them. So with the warning of the storm being bad and seeing everyone else in the neighborhood putting them up I did my best with that I had to hang them. I pretty much just drilled Tapcoms into the wall and used washers to make sure they were secure. It worked fine and seemed sturdy enough. No damage to the house and everything was fine. After the storm I took them down and there was just holes left in the walls around the windows and I don't think the tapcoms will work again.Does anyone have any advice on how to use anchors or something in the pre drilled holes from last year to put them up again this year?!? Or am I just screwed. With Irma possibly approaching I want to be ready. Thanks!!! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2gzw2VB
