BEST Inc (BSTI), went public this week and it was originally supposed to be priced higher $13-15 with a larger number of shares offered, but I keep reading something like 'a weak response from 'investors' caused the initial share price to drop to $10-11 as well as a significant cut in the number of shares offered- this is all before trading even starts. My question is who are the 'investors' they are talking about that have such an effect on share price and offering of an IPO? Does someone or an organization literally survey institutional or individual investors and gauge their interest?
