So my wife just got a medical bill from a test she did back in June. Apparently they charged her $7200, which seems extremely high for a one night at home sleep apnea test. There is a plan discount of $1080 and my plan covered $3672. The leaves us owing $2448. Apparently our primary doctor told my wife that the test would be covered in network but my insurance lists that as not being the case. Am I screwed and is there anything I can do? Could this be medical billing fraud?
