Hello.
Title is my current situation, plus girlfriend pressing me on this. Currently all my money is to pay bills @ home and some debts I had to assume to keep the health insurance running (wasted effort, we lost the coverage 4 months later and I just paid the last part of the loan).
Thing is, I barely finished paying and my mother already signals me that she wants to do a reform in the house and wants me to help. The house indeed needs refurbishing, but I'm already @ 30 years old and I have nothing. How am I supposed to raise my own family if I still have to take care of my parents? My father is the only one besides me who works to bring cash in, my mother has to stay @ home taking care of my grandma (who's in an advanced state of Alzheimer), and the jobs are low on his side (glazier).
I receive around 1.5k/mo, been holding my grounds with barely no cash and gf being patient and banking me on most of stuff (although I was using the C/C eventually). I don't want to ditch my mother, but if things keep going like this I can't see a way for me to become independent. Any pointers?
