I am sure everyone saw the Recent DIY post about the $400 standing desk with lifts. Well I started to think, I have to have my bed lifted due to acid reflux disease (like an old man) and I would like to install two lifts so my bed is not always on blocks. So, leading off the other post I found the lift, the relays, and the buttons. He also included a wiring diagram that I think I'll be able to follow. What I need now is a bracket with 6mm holes that would allow me to mount the lift to my bed frame. I'm thinking something that LOOKS like this. Here are some images of my bed to give you an idea. I'm no engineer so I'm having trouble picking out the most reliable spot to install the bracket. The distance from the silver support to the ground is 10" and initially where I was thinking of mounting the bracket to. The width of the silver support is only about 1.25" though. The diameter of the lift shaft (correct terminology?) is 20mm.I am still in the conceptual phase so please feel free to point out any fallacies or issues with my thinking. Thanks everyone! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2wTloPn
