Hey everyone, I like doing my own projects and haven't ever posted here, but I'm working on a project I think I eventually will, but I need some advice.I am building a retaining wall around the flower beds around my house. I want to elevate them and create a nice looking wall. However, the front of my house is brick and the foundation ends below the height I would like to elevate the flower bed to.I know that I shouldn't have dirt above the foundation (and against the brick) because it messes with the way the brick handles moisture. My thought was to surround the whole flower bed with the wall, including the side against the house (leaving a small gap) so that I can elevate the garden higher. Is this something that can be done without messing with the brick?I can't seem to find things on the first page of google results that specifically says yes or no (that I feel i can trust). Thanks in advance! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2wEziGh
