Scattered in our belongings are some pretty sweet old phones. Analog phones, that need a dial tone and are either rotary or pushbutton. All are nostalgic, some are exquisite classics. We want to use them.We want to use this within our house and garage as a completely private telephone network. e.g. I want to pick up the phone in the living room, dial "5" and have the phone in my son's room ring. Once he picks up I want to be able to talk to him like the good old days.We don't have any interest in connecting this private telephone network to the outside world. We don't want VOIP, or to interface with Google Voice, any ITSP, etc.We just want a private analog telephone network within our house.I see all sorts of hardware designed specifically for VOIP, SIP accounts, interfacing with PBX software, etc... but none meant to simply get a self contained, private analog telephone network up and running.Anybody have experience with this type of stuff? via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2fwJ0Qi
