So the back of the tub butts against an exterior wall. The long side of the tub and shower against an interior wall, and the right wall was built for this remodel, with a closet going on the other side, with an access panel for the water piping.Everything is done, and I'm ready to install. However, I'm redoubling my internet research and when originally, the recommended practice was to insulate the exterior, and the long wall, and install vapor barrier...which I have done, taping all seams...I'm reading now I shouldn't be putting plastic up at all.I used Roxul on the two walls, primarily to retain the heat in the whirlpool tub, and reduce the sound of the jets to the rest of the house. On top of that, the three piece surround I purchased installs directly to the studs. However, the instruction say to use construction adhesive on all the studs...which are covered in 6 mil vapor barrier.Thoughts on how I should proceed? via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2wzqkXS
