My doorbell button recently cracked and jammed long enough for the plastic on the Front plunger to melt and cause it to be stuck in place.It took me a while to figure out what happened, but once I did, I just swapped the Front wire to the Rear wire since I don't have second doorbell button. This absolutely works, but I only get the single chime sound.What I'm wondering, is can I remove the plastic tab that prevents the Rear plunger from hitting both chimes and thus treat it just like a Front plunger?
