I'm currently dealing with a nasty mice infestation, and calling local exterminators have given me a huge headache. The cheapest offer was $425, and at this moment that is out of the question. Experimenting on my own hasn't helped much (tried the cotton balls soaked in peppermint oil trick, and they just shift more to another part of the house), so any affordable options you guys know of are more than welcome.
I have small children, and due to an unfortunate issue, glue traps are not a good option right now. Saw my daughter happily pull one of them out from under the couch, so it spooked me plenty.
