A little background: I graduated college in May and started working full time in a hospital lab. I'm very thankful to have this job and it's really not a horrible job aside from all the mistakes that constantly need fixed. I just hate that I'm there 40+ hours a week. I asked about cutting down to 32 hours a week, so I can finish the rest of my second degree but that was shot down. I'll only be at this lab temporarily due to a move that I might be making within the next year, so I'm hopeful that I can get either part time or 32 hours a week at my next job. Anyways, I feel absolutely miserable knowing I have to go into work the next day and by the time I get home, I'm too tired to do anything. I feel like a robot most of the time and this way of life just sucks. Most of my waking hours are spent at work. So, here's my question: for those of you who work part time, are you happier? I'm willing to live as minimally as possible if it means I can have the freedom to still enjoy life. I've been working since I was 16, so I'm no stranger to the work force. I'm just sick and tired of dealing with coworkers who hassle me about everything and fixing everyone's mistakes. The supervisors don't do anything about it either, so it's frustrating. I know life isn't perfect and you'll always have these things but is dealing with it only 3-4 days a week better than 5? I appreciate your responses.
