there are posts talking about how to read 10-K, and how it's very important. but is it actually helpful?
i was trying to read google's 10-k and in the report it talks about google+
2011 and continuing in 2012, we have tightened integration between Google+ and our other Google properties, such as Gmail and YouTube and now have 235 million active users across our Google properties.
if i only read 10-k and not what people talk about online, then i'd have a lot of confidence in that product. i'm assuming every company's 10-k is filled with these projections about how their new product will do well
isn't reading the news/online research enough to get a sense of how a company is doing?
thanks!
