I'm really confused about how financial aid works. I'm an independent student and won't be starting college until January which is the winter quarter. I'm eligible for the full pell grant through FAFSA, but will I actually receive the full thing or will I receive 2/3 of it since I didn't do the fall quarter? I'll be doing a full summer quarter to make up my credits instead. It seems you usually get the pell grant paid over two semesters or three quarters, and given any remainder - the summer term isn't included. Will they still give me the full grant to apply to summer, or will I just receive 2/3 of it to apply to winter/spring?
