Hello everybody, I've got two simple wooden beds that can be stacked to create a bunk bed. Now I want to modify them so I have a kingsize bed. The problem I had is that the head an foot pieces were joined with dowels and wood glue. I've dismantled and sanded all the pieces, removed most of the dowels (might have to drill out the glued ones if necessary) and made a basic plan to reassemble them. Now I'm not sure how to join two of the bed posts into a single central post without using dowels and glue (I want to be able to dismantle the bed again if needed). I'm not very experienced with woodworking as you might be able to tell, but I'm open to suggestions. Thanks for your help. Here's my try: http://ift.tt/2f5nWQM't know if that's sturdy enough. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2eHq9RY
