I had no idea how expensive birthday cards were until my wife asked me to pick one up for a 4 year-olds party. When you have a very young child, you get invited to a lot of parties, so it I imagine it adds up quickly. I ordered a bulk box from Amazon while standing in the Hallmark aisle of Target, and I have to tell you, in addition to the savings in $$$, avoiding the the stress of having to run and get one combined with the practice my daughter gets on writing the cards (bonus, it's a great place to use the multitude stickers that everyone and their mother gives my daughter) this is one of the best tiny decisions we've ever made. No doubt many of you have even better ways to save with cards, I'd love to hear them.
