I'm at my wit's end! I need nicer shoes for work - I've been wearing mostly sneakers because I cannot find shoes that fit. I wear an 8 1/2, BUT - I have a very high arch and the ball of my foot needs a 4E width. Sometimes I can get away with normal E. For reference: Normal shoes are B. Wide is C or D. I need extra wide. I'm finding lots of very, very ugly shoes. The successes I've had are Softspots in Extra Wide and Sketchers wides are usually acceptable. I'm looking for flats, although a low heel is okay. I work in IT and often spend a lot of time on my feet and walking (and crawling under computer desks). Thoughts?
