Hello all, thank you for any advice regarding this.
A few months back I bought a puppy, total price for the dog was marked at 1700$. I brought 1100$ in the store for him and they stated I can finance the rest of the dog. Me being stupid figured I could raise my credit by paying him off month over month. I have been making 131$ payments on him since feb. of this year.
I come to find out months later the contract was written incorrectly and changed without my consent. I call the financial institution and they tell me they have transferred my contract from Wags lending to Montery Financial. Call Montery, same story, they transferred my contract to Green Circle.
I call the store manger where I originally bought the puppy and they tell me since they no longer have access to wags they cannot rewrite my contract to fix it. To clarify, I should have been financed for 600$ but was approved for 1000. Instead of doing the financing for 600$, they financed me for the full 1000, overcharging me 400$. (Presumably since it's financing increasing the total by a ton of extra payments which are 131$ a month.)
Now, my question is what the hell do I do about this? Seek legal action? Don't pay? It seems like no one has answers for me. Green Circle says they have nothing to do with the contract, and Puppies Plus (the retailer) must rewrite the contract. Puppies plus says they can't since they do not have access to Wags systems since they transferred it.
TL;DR: Bought puppy using 1100, total was 1700 for dog. Financed what should have been 600, instead financed for 1000. No one can fix contract since it has been transferred 3 times to different companies. What do I do?
