As a tech enthusiast, I research everything as best I can. Formerly carrying a Windows Phone with a Microsoft Band, I recently switched to iPhone (long sad story for another day). I’ve been saving and waiting for the Series 3 to come out in hopes of purchasing a used Series 2 as I wanted it to be waterproof. After talking with a friend who no longer works for Apple and researching online, I found that the Series 1 is essentially waterproof, but Apple (can’t or won’t) label it as such. I found a used Series 1 for $65 and wanted to share in case others like the stay frugal but also like to keep up with tech to some extent. Keep watch on Craigslist and your local Facebook marketplaces.
