Hello all, not sure where I should post this, but I was prescribed Escitalopram 10mg last month and it comes in 30 tab bottles. I filled my first prescription at Walmart and I was charged $91.63. Me being stupid, I went with it and took it home. After doing some research, I realized the average cost of Escitalopram should only be about $10. Of course, I was told under federal law medications cannot be returned once they have left the pharmacy, so I was stuck with the pricey medication. This month, I decided to fill it at Costco. I was only charged $10.78. I asked them why Walmart charged me such a hefty price and even THEY were shocked at how much my first prescription was. Anyone know why such a huge price difference and what I can do about it? Can I bring it up at the Walmart pharmacy? I've called a few Walmarts around this area and also other pharmacies (Walgreens, CVS, etc.) and Walmart is still about $91-92 while every other pharmacy is about $10-$15.
