Hi, I'm new to this sub and to the frugal lifestyle in general. After getting into thousands of dollars of credit card debt from being dumb, I'm working on turning it around.

I'm feeling pretty excited about climbing out of debt, starting to save and about developing a less materialistic/more efficient and frugal mindset in general. Right now we are trying to live on a very lean budget to pay off debt. This question is for the times when I feel my excitement waning...

After making frugal changes and saving money, how do you combat the thought that you deserve a reward?

I find myself thinking that I deserve a treat after experiencing some measure of success or going without for a while. Just looking for some inspiration for when that impulse creeps in.
