Hi fellows. May I know which WD40 specialist lubricant I should use to lubricate the sliding of a mild steel barn door roller + track setup? Amongst the lubricants in consideration are WD40 PFTE Dry Lube, WD40 Lithium Grease, WD40 Silicone Lubricant.photo of actual mechanismThis setup is moderately heavy & the usage is 1-2 slides per door maximum. Environment is slightly dust (so the traditional viscous grease is probably out). The most unfortunate factor is that the mild steel is sprayed, not powder-coated, which means if abused enough, the paint coating actually disintegrates.I'm not particularly inclined towards WD40, except that where I came from, the DIY materials are extremely limited & WD40 & some 3M lubricants are basically what I see in stores. In addition, I did try to read up on the types of lubricants, but the information I've gotten don't mention appropriate usage on coated ("finished") metal surfaces. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2w5VhT6
