Since retired, Souter lived out in the countryside living very simple. Beat up old farmhouse and house looked abandoned. He's since moved because he wanted a single level and his old house wasn't strong enough to hold his book collection.
What a guy. Just humble and wanted a simple life. He also liked to stay home and disliked DC.
