First time poster here!
History: Had no credit until my grandma co-signed a 3 year car lease for me in 2013. Credit score improved. After the 3 years I re-upped for another 6 to finish, but this time in my own name. In the past 4 years I have applied for and gotten several credit cards. 6 total. 3 are paid off, but the 0% APR is expired and now I'm paying lots in interest. I pay more than the minimum dues, but still feel like I'm drowning. Aside from my car lease, I only owe about $2,000 or less in credit cards.
Question: I'm considering obtaining a personal loan to consolidate my credit card payments so I only have one monthly payment instead of many small payments throughout the month. It's getting hard to keep track of and I end up with no money. Would a personal loan be the best way to help me pay off my debt? What is the best way to go about paying it all off without screwing myself over entirely??
TL;DR: Mo' credit, mo' problems
