Hello!

Thank you to everyone in advance who reads this post and offers any advice for financial planning, it's greatly appreciated.

I graduated with my bachelors in 2010 and attained my first job after college working as a community organizer working 50-60 hours a week and more. On January 2012, after a manic episode I was diagnosed with Bi-polar disorder and was hospitalized until my release and reintegration to society in April 2014.

Since my release, I've volunteered at different community organizations, completed a year of service with AmeriCorps, applied and was accepted to graduate school for Computer Science and was offered a job as a teacher at a public high school. As a teacher I make about $1,100 bi-weekly after taxes and for graduate school I attained a scholarship that covers my tuition (dependent on my performance each semester).

I have about $30k in loans from my bachelors and $4k in collections due to ambulance fees, a 598 credit score due to missed payments on my loans during this difficult time period. I recently opened a secured credit card and searching for an apartment in the $700 range.

I'm looking for any advice and thoughts people have. I would like to improve my credit score and get my financial house in order. Thank you!
