Please remove if not allowed. Basically I had a job for almost 2 years where I was paid cash and had to pay my own taxes. After the first year I went to a tax specialist and ended up paying in about 3,600. That is with making 28,500 (1099) and writing off about 10,000 with what I put into a small business I've been working on. The next year I paid 600$ a quarter and have changed jobs come last November where I don't have to worry about paying taxes. I never ended up filing last year because my tax person was not very good (I'm clueless) and now I have no idea the steps to get this fixed. I feel like I can't trust any of the local tax specialist as I am from a smaller town and do not have many choices. Any advice would be great as I am clueless in this matter.
